Meet LaDonna — Handmade, Sustainable, Made in Connecticut

I'm LaDonna, and I sew everything for The Petal & Threads myself, here in Connecticut. What began as making things for the people I love turned into making them for yours.

I work in natural and recycled fabrics because I like the idea of a material getting a second life. A onesie becomes a keepsake sweatshirt. A worn quilt top becomes a tote you'll carry for years. My favorite orders are the ones with a story attached — a name to monogram, a memory to hold onto, a verse to keep close.

My faith is part of how I work, quietly. You'll see it in pieces like the “His Timing, Not Mine” Bible cover, and in the care I try to put into everything that leaves my studio. Thank you for letting me make something for you.
