Handmade & made-to-order

Everything we sell is handmade and made to order. Each piece is crafted individually, so slight variations in color, texture, and finish are normal and part of the handmade charm — not defects. Product photos are representative; your item may vary slightly. Estimated processing times are shown on the product page or provided with your quote.

Custom orders & quotes

• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date we send them; after that, pricing and availability may change.
• We begin custom work only after you approve the quote and details and pay any required deposit. Please review spelling, sizes, colors, and personalization carefully — we make what's approved.
• Custom orders may require a deposit before we start. Because personalized items can't be resold, deposits on custom/personalized orders are non-refundable once we've begun work.
• If you send us your own materials (for example, a baby garment to transform), we treat them with care, but working with pre-owned or one-of-a-kind items carries inherent risk (see Liability).

Pricing & payment

Prices are in US dollars and may change before you order. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; by paying you authorize the charge for your order total, including applicable taxes and shipping. Your order is confirmed once payment (or the required deposit) is received. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax.

Shipping & returns

Processing time (to make the item) is separate from shipping time. Risk of loss passes to you once we hand the package to the carrier; we'll help you track a lost package.

Because items are handmade and made to order, personalized and custom items cannot be returned or exchangedunless they arrive damaged or defective. If your item arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we'll make it right — repair, remake, or refund at our discretion. See our shipping & returns policies for details.

Intellectual property & materials

Our designs, patterns, photos, text, logo, and the site belong to The Petal & Threads LLC — please don't copy or resell them without permission. If you provide artwork or a design for a custom order, you confirm you have the right to use it and grant us permission to use it solely to make your order; we may decline requests we believe infringe someone's rights. Physical materials you send us remain yours.

Limitation of liability

Our products and site are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Petal & Threads LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. When we alter customer-supplied items (especially pre-owned or irreplaceable pieces), you accept that handmade work carries inherent risk.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always posted here with its effective date. Continuing to use the site or order after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
